History
Experts think the Horns may have been built in 1543, when Henry VIII was King of England! The building was extended in the 18th and 20th centuries but the original Tudor features, oak beams, open fireplaces and ancient fittings remain. Some believe the ghost of highwayman Walter Clibbons, killed by villagers in the 18th century haunts the Horns today! Come and visit to experience our unique atmosphere and history for yourself.
